AOLA is a non-profit trade association dedicated to the conservation of the lobster resource and the preservation of the offshore lobster industry. The association closely monitors all facets of the state and federal fishery management process as it pertains to, or impacts offshore lobster. We offer a strong, balanced voice for our members who consist of a large segment of the offshore lobster fleet. Atlantic Offshore Lobstermen's Association is now a member of the Commercial Fisheries Center of Rhode Island. The Commercial Fisheries Center of Rhode Island is home to nonprofit commercial fishing organizations, and serves as a headquarters for bringing fishermen, scientists, managers, and elected officials together to discuss issues. The Commercial Fisheries Center was founded in 2004 to improve fisheries and understanding of the marine environment through education, collaborative research, and cooperation.
